Mission

Maximize Potential Through Education

The Exponential Potential Foundation’s mission is to provide physically disabled children in grades K-12 with scholarships to private college prep schools so that they can maximize their potentials and succeed in college and life.

  • Shannon's Vision

The EXP Foundation is the brainchild and passion of Shannon White. Shannon was born with Cerebral Palsy and in 2018 was 14 years old. As a physically disabled adolescent, Shannon recognized that her future would be dependent upon her ability to maximize her cognitive abilities and her character growth. Unfortunately the majority of funding for physically disabled children focuses on enhancing their mobility and not their cognitive potential.

Shannon’s vision is to enable other physically disabled children to make the world a better place by cultivating their cognitive possibilities and their character strengths. Scholarships to private college prep schools will enable these children to obtain an education in an academically rich environment that can accommodate their special needs while preparing them to succeed in college and life.

At the EXP foundation, we believe that by providing these educational opportunities to physically disabled children we will clear the path for them to unleash their potential and to inspire greatness.

  • You can make a difference

When Shannon decided that she wanted to start a foundation to help other physically disabled children she found was that there are many scholarships for students with physical disabilities who want to go to college, but no private scholarships at all to college prep schools. Based on the low high school and college graduation rates for physically disabled children, Shannon decided the missing piece of the puzzle was to better prepare these children for success in college by offering scholarships to private college prep schools. Private college prep schools are better equipped to make accommodations for physically disabled children and to provide them with an education geared for the rigors of college.
